My name is Chrissy Richardson

I am a co-founder of The Green Revolution and I DO NOT smoke cannabis…  

I was raised in a household where there was always stigma surrounding cannabis and its use. It was always talked about in a negative way. Referred to as a “gate way” drug. A drug that made you lazy and useless. Unproductive in society.

The drug of choice in our household were the very legal drugs “alcohol and cigarettes “. Seeing as they were LEGAL, they were very much accepted. And they were always around in abundance. I saw firsthand the effects that, mainly, alcohol had in my family. None of it was productive and always destructive, both mentally and physically.

Seeing firsthand the effects of both these legal and “illegal “drugs, I can wholeheartedly say I am a passionate advocate for cannabis.

My husband had a very successful career in the financial sector and later in the mining industry, all while using cannabis, to help cope with the stresses of a high-powered job.

He was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2019 and cannabis enabled him comfort in his final months, and even his doctors advised him to use this “illegal” drug.

I will advocate for this power plant and do everything necessary to finally have the “il” dropped from its name!
